United PolicyHolders (UP)
United Policyholders is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing education to help homeowners receive a fair insurance claim settlement. They are funded by donations and grants and all of their online information is free of charge. UP’s work gets done by volunteers who’ve recovered from prior disasters and by knowledgeable, consumer – oriented professionals.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
On March 1, 2003, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The primary mission of the Federal Emergency Management Agency is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the Nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters, by leading and supporting the Nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation.

United States Fire Administration (USFA)
As an entity of the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency, the mission of the USFA is to reduce life and economic losses due to fire and related emergencies, through leadership, advocacy, coordination and support. We serve the Nation independently, in coordination with other Federal agencies, and in partnership with fire protection and emergency service communities.
